I hope to support you through the many emotions you experience as you enter new seasons of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. I value creating a safe and restful space for you and your partner, and I am committed to being fully present during your birthing and parenting journeys.
I am a trained doula through Birth Arts International, a program with the most in-depth and comprehensive education available to certified doulas. BAI is considered the premier holistic doula training organization. My career as a birth photographer sparked a deep interest and energy within me to become more intricately involved with helping others bring their babies into the world. As I have pursued a role as a birth doula, I have been fulfilled in new and meaningful ways, experiencing a deep sense of joy.
During my 8 years as a wedding photographer, I believed I was photographing the "best day ever" for all my clients. After I delivered my first son, I realized the days following the wedding get even better and hearts grow even bigger. I want to capture more than just the covenantal beginning of a family. The entire process is sacred, unique, and deserving of documentation.
Whether buying baby gadgets or completing to-do lists, it can be difficult to set aside time to actually prepare for Baby's arrival. Let's work together to holistically support your many needs during pregnancy by exploring nutritional changes, practicing mindfulness, creating a birth plan, and documenting your growing family.
Birth is arguably the most raw and beautiful experience a person has in their lifetime. It is primal. It is empowering. It is binding. Strength and resilience once buried deep within emerges to deliver new life.
Whoever said, "the days are long, but the years are short" should receive some kind of award for being so spot on. You will never regret documenting these everyday, but divine, moments as your family grows.
